The Asia Kakehashi Project is a scholarship program funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, awarded to Asian High School students, with an aim to bridge cultural understanding between Asian and Japanese High School students. The Kakehashi Program was established in 2018 and has sent 45 Filipino students to Japan from 2018-2021.

Did you know that for more than 60 years, the Japanese Government has received Filipinos, among other nationals from all over the world, to study in Japan? For the past several years, an annual average of 100 scholars from the Philippines have been sent to study in Japan under six different scholarship programs presented below.
Applications are processed through the Japan Information and Culture Center, Embassy of Japan.

Towards the end of the Pacific theatre of World War II, one of the most iconic points of the conflict happened in the town of Santa Fe. Of course, to anyone from Nueva Vizcaya, this would be all too familiar, it is none other than Dalton Pass or formerly known as Balete Pass. After the liberation of Manila by the allied forces, the commander of the Japanese forces in the Philippines, General Yamashita Tomoyuki, ordered his troops to move north.
